First they felt it in
their dreams. Pleasant jumbles of the days events cascaded suddenly into
seething swirling
NIGHTMARES! It fed on the fear of those who slept in the colossal
building, slowly gaining the power to reach
physically past the wall of sleep. Now in the waking world horrible things
from tortured dreams stalked the old place, puppets of the
growing darkness, shadows that sought human prey! Now called the House of
NIGHTMARES by the townsfolk, the old building in Mt. Vernon was abandoned,
and deprived of its food,
the darkness slept for a time.
Awakened once more by trespassers and thrill seekers, the thing sent its
minions to stalk and slay them in the
twisting corridors and dark recesses of the building. But it craved more
fear than the old house could provide.
Sinking deep into the earth it reemerged in Columbus, in the forsaken
basement of an ancient factory in the
brewery district. Drawn by the dark history of the massive place, the
thing cast its will into the dreams and
nightmares of the sleeping metropolis. As Halloween approached it would
draw victims to its new home and
extract their terror by bombarding mind and body with fear made flesh!
Columbus would know they could no longer escape the growing darkness, they
would know The House of
NIGHTMARES had arrived!
